It all begins with an idea.

Ideas occupy our minds. But they remain ideas—wasted really—until we free them and give them life. Then, they become experiences and later, memories. An idea is what could be, while the memories are what was. The goal is to end with more memories than ideas.

I yearn for adventure. So, when I came across Sasha Trubetskoy’s subway-style maps of the ancient Roman road network, an adventure presented itself amongst those coloured lines. Cycling from London to Rome was an idea that I had to free from my mind and give it life.

The world is filled with fascinating stories. As a writer. A photographer. A traveler, I want to create and experience those stories.
